Classes will run by semester starting the week of September 10th and concluding the week of December 10th. We will be observing holidays which you can note in each class description. Be sure to take a look at our discounts for enrolling in multiple classes and siblings!
Meet the Teachers
Jennifer Bennion: Sewing
Jennifer has been sewing and making clothes since the age of 13. She moved to NYC in the summer of 2001 to attend FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) and received an Associates Degree in Fashion Design and a BFA in Textile Surface Design. After graduating, Jennifer worked in the textile industry for 5 years as a designer for Martha Stewart’s bed, bath and beach home textile line for Macy’s. She has since returned to sewing and has enjoyed teaching at Bread & Yoga since 2015. She and her husband live in the Hudson Heights area of upper Manhattan with their 3 kids.
Christianne Greiert: Shakesperience
Christianne Greiert is an actress, producer, and teaching artist. She’s had the privilege of working with New York Theatre Workshop, Primary Stages, Chautauqua Institution, Red Fern Theatre Company, Shakespeare Gym, Florida Studio Theatre, and other Off-Broadway and emerging companies. Christianne specializes in crafting acting, improvisation, and experiential workshops for youth, and spent the early part of her career working with the internationally recognized WRITE A PLAY Program, which serves more than 50,000 students annually. She is a proud member of Actors’ Equity and serves as the Producing Artistic Director of Clutch Productions, a nonprofit creative collective committed to fostering the voices of up-and-coming female artists in theatre and film. Jenna Hoffman: Talking Hands: Finding your Voice Through ASL
Jenna graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Drama; she also studied with Playwrights Horizons and Hardcore ASL. Her specialization is directing and she is passionate about including mindfulness, storytelling, kids, and ASL in her work! Jenna has worked with a number of Deaf theatrical productions and has spent much time as a caregiver for kids of all ages. For Baby Fingers, Jenna teaches our creative ASL classes in a variety of settings, with families and kids ages newborn through teens.
Rachael Harrington: Open Exploration & Stories on the Rise
Rachael Harrington is a storyteller whose work has taken her around the globe, presenting imagination infused performances and workshops for all ages in theater and arts spaces, community groups, schools, preschools, and as a guest lecturer at Rutgers University. She was the recipient of the NYC Department of Education Arts and Family Engagement Grant and has presented workshops at New Jersey Association of School Libraries, New Jersey TESOL Conference, and the American Association of School Libraries National Conference, and has been published in Voices, the New Jersey TESOL quarterly journal. She performs at festivals including The Uptown Arts Stroll, Gotham Arts Festival, and The Day of Water Festival on Governors Island. She is a member of National Storytelling Network.
Carolina Lindoff: H(om)eschool Yogis
Carolina Lindoff is Bread and Yoga’s certified Kids Yoga teacher. She has a passion for teaching all ages and loves exploring the world of yoga with children. If you peek in to her class you will find her and the students either barking like dogs in Downward Facing Dog or in the middle of a fun, mindful yoga game! Carolina is certified through Yogi Beans where she also leads Teacher Trainings. She holds a degree of Master of Education from a Swedish University as a Dance teacher. She teaches Kids Yoga around the city in various settings, and besides teaching Kids Yoga Carolina also teaches adult classes, pre/post-natal yoga, and dance.
