At Kids Yoga classes, children learn to stretch, breathe deeply, relax and concentrate. We also start touching on concepts like peace, being healthy and strong, as well as just having FUN. Yoga develops correct posture, body awareness and self-confidence and helps children to become more calm. I don't know about you, but my kids certainly have enough stuff! Yoga is a great gift for the little ones and an excellent gift idea for the grandparents!

LITTLE SONGWRITERS’ CLUB
Guitar instruction/songwriting skills
with Christopher Wilson and Eric Nolan
Wednesdays 3:30 pm –5:30 pm
$275 for 12 weeks (10% discount if you sign up by 12/31/09)
This is an intensive program designed to get children playing guitar and writing songs. Upon completion of this program every child will have a high-quality CD and a book chronicling their experiences and songwriting growth. You must have a guitar to participate in this program.
About Christopher and Eric:
Eric Nolan is a resident of Inwood. He teaches emergent bilinguals at Muscota New School where music is a central part of his language instruction. He teaches guitar and songwriting to fourth graders and has presented his students’ work to several professional audiences to much applause. When he was four, he saw the Ramones perform live. It was a major turning point in his life.
Christopher Wilson is a teacher in the neighborhood, and has taught many children in Inwood how to write songs and pick a guitar. He is a good friend and punctual. He has played guitar and banjo for more years than he can remember and thinks that Pete Seeger should be president.

Join Nancy Preston and Spiro Pantazatos for this very special event!
